Travel Consultant

Job Summary

You will be corresponding through all communication channels (email, online chat, social media, telephony and instant messaging) and using an intuitive and intelligent customer relationship management system to deliver sales proposals to prospects. Your training and induction will be workshop based and you will be given the opportunity to truly define your career and commit yourself to a strong incentive structure

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Effectively own all customer elements of reservations (quoting, customer service, bookings,
  amendments, service management)
• Deliver outstanding customer services on all channels
• Embrace ongoing training and keep your own self-evaluation logbook
• Execute point to point itineraries, bookings and commands within the Amadeus GDS
• Provide input into product management process from a reservations point of view
• Complete training on the South Pacific Specialist designation (SPTO) and Fiji Matai specialist
  course and become officially recognised across Fiji and the South Pacific
• Provide input to the web and design team for supplier specials, ad hoc promotions

Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong proven sales performance
• Strong English communication skills written and oral
• Excellent work ethic and emotional intelligence
• Ability to be self-sufficient and accountable
• Understanding and experience with Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Previous experience in the travel industry highly regarded but not essential
• Strong examples of where you have previously learnt business systems and applications
• Tertiary education will be highly regarded
• Understanding of the tourism industry highly regarded
• Technologically savvy and able to demonstrate adoption of new technologies with ease
